COFFS Harbour Swimming Club exploded out of the blocks last Sunday for the Sawtell Explosion Swimming Carnival held at the Coffs Harbour Olympic pool. With a team of 100 competitors, Coffs Harbour Swimming Club excelled at the carnival as coach Daniel Bannerman explained. “For some, this was their first long course carnival for the season and they were keen to secure new personal best times leading up to the area championship in three weeks’ time. “Despite the rainy conditions all the swimmers were happy to be back racing in their local pool. “Throughout the meet countless PBs (personal best) times were made as well as many achieving country and state qualifying times. “Swimmers were back training the following morning with more racing again this weekend in Lismore,” said Daniel.
