New 10km/h shared zone for Wallace Lane, Macksville Nambucca Valley by News Of The Area - Modern Media - September 23, 2021 NAMBUCCA Valley Mayor Rhonda Hoban OAM is pleased to announce that Nambucca Valley Council is trialling a shared zone on Wallace Lane, Macksville. “The project is part of a state-wide program to test and pilot new and innovative ideas for streets as safe, shared public spaces,” she said. The Streets as Shared Spaces Program supports the NSW Premier’s priority to increase walkable access to quality open, green and public space in urban areas. Motorists and cyclists will be required to give way to pedestrians in the shared zone and obey the 10 km/h speed limit, reduced from 40 km/h. The new speed limit and Give Way to Pedestrian signs are expected to be installed from Thursday 23 September 2021.
