Coffs Harbour Triathlon Club kitting up for the new season.

THE triathlon season start is fast approaching with the first splash, ride and run event scheduled for the morning of Sunday,September 26 hosted by Coffs Harbour Triathlon Club, pending the lifting of the ban on community sport.

Race Director Mark Garner said, “Whether we are allowed to race or not, now is a timely reminder to make sure you have the correct gear, and if you do, get your equipment checked over, especially your bike and helmet.

“The Club has a ready to use checklist that helps newcomers to tick off what they need for race day, and it’s also available on the Club’s website.

“If you’ve not done much in the way of exercise, now is a great time to dust off the runners and set yourself a plan to put some fitness into the body.

“If you haven’t got a bike, see if you can borrow one, any bike will do to get you going.

“If you would like more information about what it takes to get started, get in contact with the club via Facebook messenger, e-mail or checkout the website www.coffstri.com.au.

“If you are looking to join in and participate, the club offers the opportunity to try an event without committing to a full membership,” said Mark.
