NORTHERN NSW Football announced Phil Lynch as the North Coast Football, Newcastle Permanent Community Coach of the Month for June.

Phil was nominated by Bellingen FC for his commitment over the duration of his service to the club where he has coached for more than 20 years.

He is the club’s ‘floating’ coach, offering the club’s coaches sessions on skills, tactics and specific
player roles.

Phil has been described as an “invaluable resource” for the club’s coaches and is a great supporter of
players and teams.

“Coaches are often the window into our community football clubs,” NNSWF Senior Officer, Community Football Ross Hicks said.

“They can sometimes be the only interaction our players and their parents have with a club.

“It is coaches like Phil who continue to ensure that Bellingen FC is a good place to play and that his players
are enjoying a positive football experience.”

Newcastle Permanent Coffs Harbour Branch Lending Manager Erica Farag congratulated Phil on
becoming the recipient of the Newcastle Permanent Coach of the Month Award.

“Coaches play an integral role in nurturing and developing the skills of young players to reach their
full potential.

“Newcastle Permanent is proud to recognise Phil for his valued contribution to community football
in the region,” said Erica.

Phil will receive a coaching pack including balls, markers, bibs, whistle, polo shirt and cap courtesy of
Newcastle Permanent to assist them in continuing to fulfil their valuable coaching role at the club.
