NORTH Coast Men of League have once again provided valuable support towards Group 2 Junior Rugby League.

The Men of League Foundation presented $1000 to the Woolgoolga Seahorses and Orara Valley Tomahawks junior clubs, as part of the North Coast Men of League’s recent fundraising efforts.

North Coast Men of League President Peter Barrett said it was important for his foundation and other local organisations to support junior rugby league in the region.

“This support to the juniors does everyone proud by raising money through raffles every Friday night at the Coffs Harbour Yacht Club and we thank them for their support in keeping our juniors in rugby league,” he said.

“Coffs Harbour Fishermen’s Co-Op manager Bob St John also donates a seafood tray each week which is well appreciated.”

Raffles are held each Friday night at various venues with proceeds going towards Group 2 Junior Rugby League.

The Men of League Foundation has grown to be regarded as the charity of rugby league.

Its mission remains to provide a wide range of wellbeing support and referrals in a professional and timely manner to those within the rugby league community who are in genuine need and are unable to overcome that need within their own resources.

In addition to its support of Group 2 Junior Rugby League, The Men of League Foundation provides assistance with everything from surgery, rehabilitation, equipment and specialist care to wellbeing visits to homes and hospitals to address social isolation and promote mental health.
