Coffs Harbour Comets continue winning run

 

THE Coffs Harbour Comets have continued their recent winning run after their fifth straight victory in the Tooheys New Group 2 Rugby League season.

The Comets moved to second on the ladder after a 48-20 win against the Bellingen Valley/Dorrigo Magpies at the Graveyard in Round 10.

The Comets now sit two points behind ladder leaders Grafton Ghosts, who were beaten 33-12 in their local derby against the South Grafton Rebels.

Round 10 also saw the Macksville Sea Eagles snap their five game losing streak with a 28-18 win on the road against the Woolgoolga Seahorses.

The Tooheys New Group 2 Rugby League season continues on Sunday afternoon with Round 11 matches.

The Woolgoolga Seahorses host the Coffs Harbour Comets in their local derby, while the Bellingen Valley/Dorrigo Magpies are also at home when they take on the ladder leading Grafton Ghosts in the match of the round.

The South Grafton Rebels also play host to the Macksville Sea Eagles in Round 11.
