THE ladies have played the final round of the Club championships.

Nikki Laird led from start to finish, having played some quality golf.

Carmel Fruedenstein won the net event after keeping the challengers at bay.

This was Nikki’s first win and the way she is playing it won’t be her last.

The men’s two ball best ball on Saturday saw Shane Langley team up with Dan Traynor from Frederickton for a good win.

Runners up were Neil Cunneen teaming with Mike Simpson.

Shane and Dan’s consistency was exhibited with each winning the nearest the pin – Shane finishing about 30cm from the pin.

Other nearest the pins went to Allan Clarke, Michael Manning and Col Dunne.

Allan Clarke won the midweek competition sponsored by Liam Fuller.

Balls went to Tony Green, Liam Fuller and Paul Fox.

Rhonda McCauliffe and Allan Clarke are continuing their junior coaching on Friday at 4 o’clock before a two week break for school holidays.

Starting early and learning from good players is the way to go.
