THE second Coastal Premier League season has just gone past its midway point.

Here’s how the 10 teams have fared so far this season.

Coffs City United Lions: 23 points. 7 wins. 2 draws.

The defending and inaugural Coastal Premier League champions have been even better this season as they once again sit on top of the table.

The perennial powerhouse remains the only team yet to lose this season, winning their last 6 games to go 4 points clear at the top of the table.

Boambee Bombers: 19 points. 6 wins. 1 draw. 2 losses.

Last season’s runners up have once again had a successful season so far, but have shown some vulnerability in recent weeks.

After an undefeated start to the season they have lost two of their past three matches, but scored a vital win last weekend against fellow top four side Port United.

Northern Storm: 18 points. 5 wins. 3 draws. 2 losses.

Have proven their best can match it with any side as shown by their 2-2 draws against the top-2 sides Coffs City United Lions and Boambee Bombers.

After a slow start to the season they have rocketed up the ladder in recent weeks to third spot.

Macleay Valley Rangers: 16 points. 5 wins. 1 draw. 4 losses.

After an up and down start to the season, the Rangers have climbed up the ladder winning 3 of their last 5 matches which included becoming the first team this season to beat the then ladder leading Boambee Bombers.

Port United: 16 points. 5 wins. 1 draw. 3 losses.

Have been the best team from Football Mid North Coast and proven to be genuine title contenders, matching it with fellow top-4 sides in the Lions, Bombers and Storm.

Kempsey Saints: 15 points. 5 wins. 5 losses.

Up and down like a yo-yo to start the season but a four-match win streak this season sees them right in the mix for finals contention.

Coffs Coast Tigers: 13 points. 4 wins. 1 draw. 5 losses.

The true darkhorse of the competition, this young talented Tigers team is pushing for a top 4 spot.

Just need to work on their consistency and a finals berth beckons.

Port Saints: 10 points. 3 wins. 1 draw. 5 losses.

The big sliders so far this season after finishing third in 2020.

Have shown glimpses of last year’s form but need to start converting it into results.

Sawtell Scorpions: 5 points. 1 win. 2 draws. 7 losses.

May not have quite got the results which they deserved, the Scorpions are a better team than their record suggests.

The youngest team in the league is building nicely for the future.

Taree Wildcats: 3 points. 1 win. 9 losses.

The team from Taree have had a very tough season so far, but broke through for their first win last weekend.

The Coastal Premier League season continues this weekend with Round 11 matches across the region.

Ladder leaders Coffs City United Lions host the third placed Northern Storm in the match of the round on Sunday afternoon.

Sawtell Scorpions host the Boambee Bombers at Toormina Oval, while Coffs Coast Tigers travel to take on Port United.
