Bowls Returning to Nambucca Bowls Club

THE Nambucca Bowls Club underwent a major greens renovation project in early March to replace the old synthetic greens with a new superior needle punch product.

The project commenced in early March but was unfortunately seriously impacted by the flooding event that occurred throughout the region on 19 March.

As a result, the bases of the greens were severely damaged and have been rendered unfit to play on for some months now.

Work recommenced on one of the bowling greens a couple of weeks ago and bowlers will be able to participate in bowls this Friday.

Unfortunately our Annual Ken Howard Carnival that attracts players from all over the state this long weekend has had to be cancelled again, after cancellation last year due to Covid-19, as one completed bowling green cannot support the numbers of bowlers that normally play.

In saying that it is great to have our social bowlers being able to play this Friday afternoon.
