As mentioned in the last edition both of our No.7 Grade Sides won their Section and proceeded to the Playoffs for the District “Flag” and if successful go on to the State Playoffs.

Our No.6 Grade Side were in with a chance of a Section win but unfortunately other results did not go their way and they missed out by 2 points.

The 8 Sides were split into 2 Sections and played 3 games to decide a Section winner to contest the Final.

Our No.1 Grade Side played Valentine in the Saturday morning game and in a cliff hanger the match ended in a 63 shots draw and 5.5 points.

In the afternoon game they played Lowlands and in another tight finish were edged out by 50-53 shots and 1 point.

The final result was a win in the Section for Nelson Bay with 24.5 points with Stockton 22.5 Points.

A disappointing result for our No.7.2 Side as they were undefeated throughout the season.

The team of Peter Quinn, Dave Burnett, Jill Young and Carol Shepheard played exceptionally well in the Finals matches their results were against Teralba they won by 68-43 shots, Nelson Bay 24 -18 shots and Edgeworth 27-7 shots.

A thank you to Supak Delaney who filled in for Dave Burnett on the Sunday morning when he was unavailable.
