ALIE Marie Arjaans is the Stringer Gallery’s Artist of the Month for June. This will be an exhibition with a difference since the featured art works are all illustrations for a story Alie has written called ‘Faery Logik’. Alie works in a variety of media in the creation of her illustrations including inks and watercolour. She has experimented with Japanese washi paper, which provides a very interesting texture, alongside more traditional supports. Alie’s works will be on show until the end of June in the Stringer Gallery on Ridge Street, Nambucca Heads. The gallery is open Wednesday to Friday from 10 am to 3.00pm and on Saturday mornings until noon. The Nambucca Valley Arts Council manages the Stringer Gallery and organises these exhibitions.
