Students Recognised For Efforts By PBL Awards

Emily Ryan was just one of the students recognised this week at the PBL awards.

THE extremely successful Positive Behaviour and Learning (PBL) awards have returned to MarketPlace Raymond Terrace.

The awards recognise acts of kindness, citizenship and dedication.

Each week one student from each of the 9 participating PBL schools will be awarded for their work within their school or the community.

The PBL Awards are something every student has the chance to strive for and many that have received the award stand proud and honoured to receive commendation for their achievements.

Colleen Mulholland-Ruiz Raymond terrace MarketPlace Centre Manager told News Of The Area, “MarketPlace Raymond Terrace along with Michel’s Patisserie & Café, Blooms The Chemist, Greater Bank, Donut King, Bakers Delight, Wendys, and Fibonacci Coffee are very proud to be sponsors of the Raymond Terrace Community Positive Behaviour for Learning – PBL.

“This program is leading the way to bring students, teachers and the community together to work as one for a better community.

“We all have to remember, ‘teach the children well and let them lead the way’ for a better future for us all,” she said.

This week Irrawang High School’s Emily Ryan was recognised for raising funds for the Leukemia Foundation.

Students’ contributions ranged from helping a younger student getting to the bus for the first time to helping out at a medical emergency.
