Celebrating 21 Successful Years at Park Beach HomeBase

LOCATED on the site that used to be a sawmill, the then Deputy Prime Minister, John Anderson MP, officially opened Park Beach HomeBase in May 2000 and now, twenty-one very successful years on, Park Beach HomeBase is home to a very strong retail mix of national brands and locally owned businesses.

Situated directly opposite Park Beach Plaza, the centre has attracted some of Australia’s largest names in retail, including Harvey Norman, Fantastic Furniture and Officeworks.

The opening of HomeBase in 2000 was the culmination of over five years of detailed planning and negotiations as the upgrade of the Pacific Highway overpass of Arthur Street was also in the planning phase.

“We were always certain that Park Beach HomeBase would be a major addition to the retail offering on the Coffs Coast but the centre’s astronomical success over the last twenty-one years has exceeded all our expectations,” said Steve Gooley, General Manager of the Bachrach Naumburger Group, owners of Park Beach HomeBase and Park Beach Plaza Shopping Centres.

The Park Beach HomeBase success story also reflects what a major regional centre the Coffs Coast has become over these twenty-one years.

“To ensure that there is a wide and diverse offer at Park Beach HomeBase we have always been and continue to be mindful of what retailers we bring into the centre,” continued Mr Gooley.

“We are delighted with the more recent additions of Baby Bunting, Oz Design Furniture and Jaycar which sees Park Beach HomeBase with the strongest tenancy mix in its twenty-one-year history.”

With its comprehensive range of furniture, homewares, electrical, motor accessories, fitness, and services it is easy to see why Park Beach HomeBase has become the success story it has.

Open seven days a week and with plenty of free convenient parking Park Beach HomeBase is truly the centre ‘Where Life Meets Style’.
