Coffs Harbour Comets and Woolgoolga Seahorses to clash in crunch game

 

THE Coffs Harbour Comets face a season defining game against the Woolgoolga Seahorses this weekend, during Round 6 of the Tooheys New Group 2 Rugby League season.

The Comets have lost their last four matches in a row at home, and now play host to a Seahorses team riding high after becoming the first team to beat the Macksville Sea Eagles this season.

The Seahorses sit in fourth spot on the ladder after their 28-16 win away from home against the Sea Eagles.

On the back of their Round 5 win against the Comets, the third placed Bellingen Valley/Dorrigo Magpies head to Grafton this weekend to take on the top of the ladder Grafton Ghosts in the match of the round.

The Magpies moved up into third spot on the ladder with a 48-22 victory against the Comets, while the Ghosts went to the top of the ladder with a last round win against the South Grafton Rebels and the Sea Eagles losing.

The Ghosts sit at the top of the ladder slightly ahead on for and against, with the Ghosts +52 and the Sea Eagles +50, and both sides on 8 points.

Round 6 also sees the South Grafton Rebels hosting the Macksville Sea Eagles.

Both sides will look to bounce back after losses in Round 5, as the Rebels went down 28-8 in their local derby against the Grafton Ghosts, while the Sea Eagles suffered their first loss of the season.
