CRUNCH time is fast approaching for Coffs Harbour basketballers as the Coffs Harbour Basketball Association’s season heads towards its finals series.

After starting the summer season in February, just five rounds remain until the semi-finals tip off as teams look to lock in a chance to play for this season’s title.

Karaage Chicken sits at the top of the A-grade men’s ladder undefeated with 9 wins and no losses.

Robert Linton is part of the Karaage Chicken team which features former Coffs Harbour Suns senior players.

“I entered a team full of veterans, and there is a good mix of youth and veterans in A-grade,” he said.

The women’s A-grade competition also sees another undefeated team leading the way, with Springloaded having won all 9 of their games this season.

The Coffs Harbour Basketball Association’s weekly competitions are played at Sportz Central, with the men’s on Wednesday night and women’s on Tuesday night.

High school competitions are played on Friday afternoons and evenings, while the primary school competitions are played on Saturday mornings.

The Coffs Harbour Suns Youth League Men’s team play their second home game of the season tomorrow night when they host the West Sydney Wolves from 6pm at Sportz Central.

The Suns have won their opening three games of the season, including their first game at home which was an 81-63 victory against the Norths Bears.
