Email us – media@newsofthearea.com.au Senior Constable McLeod, along with his colleague Ash Ray, recently shaved his head to raise money for the World’s Greatest Shave and raised an impressive $5000 for leukaemia research. The duo also helped out at Bulahdelah Central School, lending a hand with the School to Work Go-Getters program in June last year. To celebrate 35 years in the job, Senior Constable McLeod was visited by top brass Assistant Commissioner Max Mitchell, as well as current and retired officers from the Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command who previously worked with him. Together they enjoyed cake and coffee to celebrate Senior Constable McLeod’s achievement. Bulahdelah resident Angela Lewis wanted to give a big shout out to the officer for his compassionate handling of a recent difficult situation. “A very big thankyou to our local police [sic] Trevor was so kind and understanding in a very painful family matter,” she said. “The kindness he showed will never be forgotten!” By Alice HENNEN
