The tenth anniversary edition of the Gloria Jeans Forster 5km Run for Fun will take place on Sunday 12th April, starting at 7.30am.

Once again staged by Forster Triathlon Club, in association with Gloria Jeans Forster, the race will this year featured expanded age groups with more overall prize money.

Cash prizes are now available for male and female overall placegetters from first to third, and for each male and female age group winner, for each 10-year age group.

There will also be a prize for the best-dressed runner, and plenty of spot and lucky draw prizes after the race is over.

The race traditionally draws runners from all over NSW, with previous winners hailing from Tamworth, Sydney, and Gunnedah.

There is of course a large representation of local runners, with all gyms in the area keen to field a large group of participants and make a day of it.

The course will follow the proven and picturesque course that follows the harbour and spectacular beaches of the town, before finishing back at the Waterfront Precinct.

Online entries will close at 6.00pm Saturday 11th April, but limited on the day entries will be available at $20.00 each.

The event is located at Memorial Drive Forster, behind Gloria Jeans.
