PORT Stephens has just enjoyed its first Wellness Expo and the results will be sure to put a smile on a few faces and not just those who attended the expo.

Organisers Kerri Rodley and Chontelle Grecian are more than happy with the results and attendance at their first Wellness Expo and are already busy planning for a bigger and better event in 2022.

The recent expo has 38 exhibitors and eight workshops for people to explore and around 420 people walked through to get a head start on their journey to wellness.

The expo showcased the benefits of healthy living from gyms, to foods and caring for our mental health and spirituality.

Wellness is a growing industry globally with more and more people seeking a work life balance which gives us enough time to nurture ourselves.

2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic showed us the importance of our health and the very real need to support our mental health.

Finding a path to wellness and finding out all the options available to us locally is something more people are seeking.

Chontelle Grecian told News Of The Area, “We would like to increase the Expo’s duration to two days and provide a specific space for ‘quiet’ stallholders such as readings, facials, massages etc as we go forward.”

The Expo did more than inspire and educate, it raised funds to support a local women’s charity, the Yacaaba Centre.

Chontelle and Kerri are delighted to inform us that the event raised $1120 which will go to the centre which assists women dealing with domestic violence in the Port Stephens community.
