Do You Have What It Takes To Participate In Spartan Race?

Getting stuck into one of the SPARTAN Challenges.

SPARTAN Race is coming to Port Stephens and with it comes a range of physical challenges.

This is far more than a fun run and will test the limits of those who participate.

Spartan Race is a leader in the sport of obstacle racing, offering open heats for all fitness levels, as well as competitive and elite heats for those with something more to prove.

The first of its kind to feature timing and global rankings, Spartan Race provides a proving ground for beginner and professional obstacle racers looking to test themselves in new ways across the world.

The Port Stephens event features a 10km night run on 30 April.

The 10km night trail running race does not feature obstacles which are introduced for the events on the following days.

But the main events are being held on 1-2 May with Combo, Hurricane Heat, a sprint, Super and a kids race all planned over two big days.

Spartan Race is innovating obstacle racing on a global scale.

Port Stephens is joining up to a global movement with more than 130 races around the world annually – we offer three core races each escalating in distance, obstacle count and challenge level.

The Spartan Sprint features a 5km challenge with 20 obstacles, the Spartan Super is a grueling 10km with 25 obstacles and the kids race is a one mile event.

The courses are riddled with signature obstacles: mud, barbed wire, walls, rope and fire.

Spartan Race will be held at Tanilba Bay.
