THE Festival Of Place is a new incentive from the NSW Government Department of Planning, Industry and Environment funded through The Festival Of Place – Summer Fund.

In the Myall Coast region, residents will have the chance to show some love to where they love.

“Public space is where we share our stories and values, and where we forge the ties that bind us.

“The Festival of Place is part of the NSW Government and MidCoast Council’s efforts to bring people back into local centres and support a safe economic recovery,” said Deb Tuckerman, Council’s Manager of Growth, Economic Development and Tourism.

From Friday 26 March until Saturday 17 April, in the Harrington, Nabiac, Wingham, Hawks Nest, Tea Gardens and Stroud areas, there will be performances and opportunities for the community to get involved.

Musicians including Heath Lancaster, Maddy Andrews, Matt Zarb, Chelsea Berman, Harrison Hoven, Jake Davey and The Grasscutters will be performing in a variety of unconventional areas.

These include Newsagencies, Greenhouses, Bakehouses and Real Estate properties.

Chelsea Berman, one of the musicians involved in the program, told News Of The Area, “I’m super excited to be playing on the Myall Coast.

“I’ve done a few gigs in the area as part of the country musical festivals, but I haven’t been back for a while.

“Regarding my set, you can expect a mix of original pop-country songs, some classic covers and of course a lot of fun and good times.”

Chelsea Berman, joined by Harrison Hoven will be performing on Wednesday 14 April at Hawks Nest Bakehouse and Thursday 15 April at Tea Gardens Tillermans.
