CEX Woolgoolga Ladies Bowls Results

THE singles final for 2021 was between Wendy Bracher and Jocelyn Gurber (Rae).

The game was well played with Jocelyn Gurber becoming Woolgoolga Ladies Single Champion for 2021.

On Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 March, Ladies Mid North District held their Open and Senior Fours at CEX Woolgoolga Club.

Bowlers from all over the district came to play, and at one stage there were 96 players competing.

Woolgoolga had two teams playing in the open four, one Woolgoolga team made it to the finals and they were W Bracher, H Pallister, R Gurber, skipped by V Valentine and played against a team from Urunga L Tarrant, J Bathgate, H Hoffman skipped by Jannie Brown, this was a real nail biting final with Woolgoolga leading all the way, then Urunga ended up winning with the final bowl Woolgoolga 18, Urunga 19.

The game was so good to watch and played in great spirit and friendship.

Thursday 11 March

One game of triples was played but sadly they had to retire with two ends to go due to rain. Final score was C Mitchell, S Sweeney, S Lund (D) J Lynn, L Virag, M Short.

Next Week starting Tuesday March, 16 three teams from Woolgoolga will take part in the Mid North Coast District triples at Sawtell Bowling Club and we wish them all the best of luck.
