Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from today on Waterfall Way west of Bellingen to carry out repair work following heavy rain.

The eastbound lane will be closed about 1.5 kilometres west of Bellingen with a reduced speed limit in place while work is carried out to repair damage to roadside drainage and embankments.

These measures will remain in place until emergency repairs are completed, with the extent of the damage to be assessed when the current rain event passes.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
