YOGURTLAND Australia has announced it will permanently close all of its Australian stores, following the recent closure of its Coffs Harbour store.

The popular self-serve frozen yoghurt franchise cited the COVID-19 pandemic as the main reason behind the store closures, with Yogurtland stores forced to close for a few months last April due to the pandemic, and upon reopening customers were unable to self-serve like before.

“The ongoing ban on our self-serve model and economic impact of COVID-19 have taken their toll and despite our best efforts, we are unable to move forward,” Yogurtland stated on its Facebook page.

“After eight years of making bad days good and good days great, we have made the difficult decision to close all Yogurtland Australia stores.

“We are so happy that you chose to make Yogurtland a part of your life and we want to thank you for the love, support, and memories.

“We will miss our communities who embraced us as a local business, our guests we loved to serve, and most of all our Yogurtland Team Members who made it all possible.”

Yogurtland’s Coffs Harbour store at Park Beach Plaza closed this year.

The last day of trade for the franchise’s eleven remaining Australian stores will be 28 March.

For locals who desire one final yummy Yogurtland treat before the company’s Australian stores close for good, the nearest outlet will be a three and a half hour drive away at Yogurtland Harbour Town on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
