Coffs Harbour women to March4Justice

Elaine prepares to March4Justice.

COFFS Harbour women are coming together to March4Justice next Monday 15 March.

The idea for the March came to Canberra 57 year old academic, educator and feminist, Janine Hendry, as she watched what she described as the Federal Government’s “appalling and woeful response” to sexual abuse allegations.

An overwhelmingly positive response has led to a plan to encircle Parliament House when parliament resumes, to protest the treatment of women in this country in 2021.

The March4Justice has been taken up by capital cities and regional centres where women are coming together in solidarity with the Canberra March.

In Coffs Harbour, organiser Susan Doyle said, “The March4Justice isn’t about a single accused or single survivor, it’s about equity for all women.

“The plan is to meet at 12pm in Coffs City Square, next Monday 15 March.

“People are asked to bring placards, wear black, and masks.”

“For those who cannot attend, there is a petition to sign at https://www.march4justice.com.au,” Susan added.
