A highlight of the meeting was being given the opportunity to wade knee deep into the pools and feed the rays and small sharks, as well as feed rays and eels in the tanks.

“The women in attendance really loved the experience.”

Guest speaker at the event was 2020 Port Stephens Citizen of the Year and Founder of Plastic Free Port Stephens (PFPS), Alicia Cameron, who spoke to the group about how PFPS began, the initiatives they have been working on and ways that we can each play a small part in helping Port Stephens become plastic free.

“On a positive note PSWIB events are growing with numbers now over 40 women at each event, we love to host our events at various venues in Port Stephens as a way of supporting and showcasing other local businesses,” she said.

Port Stephens Women in Business hold events on the evening of the last Wednesday of the month.
