COFFS Harbour Surf Lifesaving Club fielded a team of 21 Nippers at last week’s 2021 State Titles hosted by Swansea Belmont Surf Life Saving Club in Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle.

Team Coach Amanda Hardaker was full of praise for the participants.

“For over six months our nippers have dedicated themselves to training and preparing for the pinnacle event of the season.

“From 8 to 14 years, individuals competed in iron person, board events and swim races, we also have our talented youngsters fighting it out on the beach in the flags and sprint events.

“As coaches we are excited to see our teams compete against the best in the state in cameron relays, board relays and board rescues.

“We are proud of the effort these kids have put in, they are true champions, their attitudes to learn, train and support one another is the best we have seen in years and we are truly proud of them,” said Hardaker.
