On Thursday February 25 the group met for the first time this year and only the second time since COVID restrictions affected the meetings last year. The meet up was a breakfast speed networking event where the rebrand was launched to take the network of business owners, leaders and influencers into the future. The BWN also launched a rebrand with a big reveal at the breakfast that will take the BWN into the future. “BWN has been around since 2004 so it was time to give it a refresh and attract new business owners and business leaders in the area. “We still stand for the same things which are helping women to connect, learn and support each other.” This year the BWN also launched their membership model that offers an online facebook group, a directory and will include regular online events on topics such as Search Engine Optimisation, booking keeping and social media to keep the conversations going online. Face to face meetings will still run every two months and the next is planned for April 22 and will be a lunchtime event. Future calendar events alternate between breakfasts, lunches and dinners to increase accessibility. “People have an appetite to get together and we really noticed that in October at our first event last year post-COVID,” Ms Fowler said. “Tickets sold quickly then and now and we have already sold out our International Women’s Day event with Zonta and Business Professional Women Coffs Harbour on March 8.” By Sandra MOON
