ADVERTISING FEATURE: Join the fun at the Bellingen Golf Club in 2021 Coffs Coast Coffs Coast News by News Of The Area - Modern Media - February 12, 2021 CLUBS in NSW have been through a lot in the last 10 months and while it has been challenging, some Clubs have been able to find some positives and Bellingen Golf Club is one of these. With golf popularity surging during COVID-19, Bellingen Golf Club has focused on golfing operations during the restriction period. The Bellingen Golf Club is in the magnificent hinterland of NSW’s Mid North Coast and provides a beautiful entrance to the township of Bellingen. Our course benefits from a magnificent backdrop featuring the Great Dividing Range and the banks of the Bellinger River. Our fairways are wide and lush with mature trees providing shade which is truly a visual delight that is good for the sole. The course is a challenging 10-hole set-up, with alternate tees to make a round of 18 holes. The river runs alongside three fairways however there are few bunkers and just one water hazard, so it looks to be a very straight forward par 70. However, our greens are small and raised so you need to be on your game. We have Medley competitions on Thursdays and Saturdays and during daylight saving period we have a par 3, 9-hole short course available on Wednesdays. All our competitions are open to all golfing visitors as well as members. We are a small club and yet our Men’s and Women’s teams are current district champions and we are always looking for new players and members. “We have been in a unique position where a major part of our business was booming during COVID and we could focus on golfing operations. “The Club is open for our social members during the day, but we have not been opening during the evening which we viewed as supporting the other food and dining businesses in town by not competing. “As a Club owned by our members, we have a social and a financial responsibility to our members and the Bellingen Community,” explained Kellie Lee, Club President. It is a new year and time to Tee-off on full club operations by opening the bistro and welcoming back our social members through extended services. To support this the club are looking for a Contract Caterer and an apprentice greenkeeper. “We are excited at being in a position to offer these unique opportunities which will generate employment in Bellingen and allow us to start encouraging COVID safe social opportunities which is at the heart of what Clubs provide to their communities,” Kellie said. To enquire about becoming a member, the Contract Catering or Apprentice Greenkeeper opportunities call the Club today on 66551312.
