There’s love in the air, and if the last year has shown us anything, it’s that we need to hold on to the things we love now more than anything.

Here’s some of my favourite love stories from the area.

Emma Hague and Nathan Hague

“Nathan and I have always lived in Raymond Terrace.

“We both went to Raymond Terrace Public School and knew each other’s’ friends but never quite crossed paths.

“I had a crush on Nathan from day one.

“We met in Year Seven and used to play footsies under the table and would get in trouble from the teacher for it.

We’re known as the high school sweethearts of our year and have been together for eleven years married and have a wonderful baby girl.”

Rachael Roberts and Neville McDermott

“I met my fiancé Neville about fifteen years ago as he was my neighbour in the next street.

“Growing up, we lived in a suburb about from each other in Newcastle and then we both ended up moving to Anna Bay nearly twenty years ago, and somehow managed to still be only metres away from each other.

“We’ve been together seven years this May, and we’re still travelling Australia and loving every minute of it.

“We couldn’t be happier, we have so much in common and can always be completely ourselves when we’re together.”

  1. It’s an excellent paper for the news of Port Stephens
    You should have more pages
Have local Business, Residents and groups write stories about the area.
    You would have more readers.
In my area of Port Stephens we don’t receive the Examiner even that we are rate payers. So your paper in the main one that we look for. make it lager.
