PARENTS of school-age children are reminded to register for their Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers as child sport and creative programs kick off again for the new year.

The NSW Government’s Active Kids program provides two $100 vouchers for parents, guardians and carers of school-enrolled children to use towards sport and active recreation costs each year.

Voucher One is valid from January to December, and Voucher Two is valid from July to December.

To use the voucher, find a registered activity provider on the Service NSW website and present your voucher when you sign up.

Students are eligible for the vouchers if they are a NSW resident, aged between four and a half years and eighteen years, enrolled in school (from Kindergarten to Year Twelve, including those who are home-schooled or enrolled in secondary school education at TAFE NSW), and are a current Medicare card holder.

Each eligible student can receive the vouchers, and the vouchers can be used towards sport registration fees, participation or membership costs with an approved Active Kids provider.

Creative Kids vouchers are also available to be redeemed for creative activities enrolled in by school students outside of school hours this year.

Parents, guardians and carers can apply for a voucher up to the value of $100 per calendar year for each student aged between four and a half years and eighteen years enrolled in school, and the voucher can be used at any time during the year.

The voucher may be used with a registered activity provider for registration, participation and tuition costs for creative arts, speech, drama, dance, digital design, coding, and music lessons and activities.

Activity categories eligible for the creative vouchers include visual arts, creative industries, literary and linguistic arts, performing arts, and cultural programs.

Parents must have a MyServiceNSW account to redeem the vouchers.

To use the voucher, provide the voucher details to your registered activity provider at registration or payment time, through the provider’s preferred process.
