Early Connections Coffs Coast are part of the Early Connections Alliance which is a collaborative network of four not-for-profit community-based organisations on the Mid North Coast and provide life changing Early Childhood Intervention through education, therapy and support for families and children with special needs.

Business Development Manager for the centre Stacey Bayliss described the organisation’s vision.

“Our Mission is to provide life changing Early Childhood Intervention through education, therapy and support. We know that intensive intervention in the early years is the key to achieving greater learning outcomes for young children. Our work at Early Connections Coffs Coast focuses on creating a team around each child and family, and building a partnership through connection, coaching and mentoring.”

State member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh congratulated the team at the centre on securing the funding, provided under the Community Building Partnership 2020 program, and said that “This playground project is based on the belief that engaging with children in natural play spaces is best practice and can be more beneficial than conducting sessions indoors. Families can learn and practice skills and strategies in a safe environment.”

The centre currently supports over 135 children and families from the Coffs Harbour and Bellingen local Government areas providing individual support from a range of early intervention professionals.
