ELIGIBLE NSW businesses can now register to take part in the new Dine & Discover NSW voucher program.

The program has been established by the NSW Government to create an economic boost for dining, arts and tourism businesses which have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past year, and to encourage the community to get out and about.

The new scheme will be tested with a small number of participants at The Rocks and Broken Hill in early February, before being piloted with a larger group in Sydney’s CBD area, Sydney’s Northern Beaches and the Bega Valley area from late February.

From March, the scheme will roll out across NSW and all successfully registered businesses will be able to accept Dine & Discover NSW vouchers from patrons.

NSW residents (aged over 18) will receive four $25 vouchers each to spend at registered businesses for eating in, entertainment and recreation.

To register for the program, businesses must have an active ABN and be registered for GST, operate in NSW, be registered as COVID Safe and have a COVID-19 Safety Plan in place, and operate as a cafe, restaurant, pub, tavern, bar or club, scenic and sightseeing transport business, cinema, museum, gallery or historic site, zoo, botanic gardens, wildlife park or nature reserve, performing arts operation, theatre or entertainment centre, amusement, theme or water park, recreational activity business such as go-karting, indoor climbing, mini-golf, billiards, bowling or an ice-rink, an outdoor adventure company, or a travel agency or tour business.

Eligible businesses are encouraged to register online for the program on the Service NSW website at https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/register-business-dine-discover-nsw.
