Sydney Swans legend to host coaches workshop at C.ex Coffs International Stadium

Sydney Swans legend Ryan O’Keefe will be hosting a coaches workshop in Coffs Harbour next week.

 

SYDNEY Swans club legend Ryan O’Keefe is set to share his expertise with local coaches when he hosts a coach education workshop in Coffs Harbour next week.

The two-time premiership player is the new Coaching Development and Education Lead for AFL NSW/ACT, and will be running the Coffs Harbour session on Wednesday, 20 January from 6pm till 7.30pm at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium.

O’Keefe had a stellar career playing 286 games for the Swans which included the premiership wins in 2005 and 2012, and the Norm Smith medal as best on ground in the 2012 Grand Final.

O’Keefe was also named to the All-Australian team in 2006, and won the Bob Skilton Medal as the Swans best and fairest in 2009.

O’Keefe brings a wealth of recent coaching experience to the Coffs Harbour workshop.

He was appointed as a midfield development coach for the Adelaide Crows in 2015, before taking over the reins as the club’s South Australian National Football League (SANFL) coach in 2016.

In 2019 he was coach of the Western Jets in the NAB League – the national under 19’s competition.

O’Keefe’s former team the Sydney Swans play a pre-season match against the Collingwood Magpies on Wednesday, 3 March at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium.
