AS of Tuesday 12 January, it is now mandatory for all travellers over the age of twelve to wear a face mask at Coffs Harbour Airport.

Following the announcement of the new NSW Government public health order, Coffs Harbour Airport is advising people to bring their own mask if they need to enter the terminal to travel, avoid going into the airport terminal if they are picking up or dropping off passengers, continue to maintain social distancing and hand hygiene practices, check with their airline for flight updates, and refer to the NSW Government for updated information on current travel restrictions.

Under the new regulation, face masks must be worn indoors at all NSW airports and on domestic commercial flights into or out of NSW, including when the flight is landing at or taking off from the airport or flying in NSW airspace.

Those not wearing a face mask risk a $200 on the spot fine.

Children aged twelve years and under are exempt from the new ruling, but are encouraged to wear masks where practicable.

Masks should not be worn by toddlers under two years of age and babies, as they are a choking and suffocation risk.
