Email us – media@newsofthearea.com.au The Medowie Combined Probus Club is pressing the re-boot button and they are having the first meeting for 2021 on 20 January, making a fresh start to the year. The group will be meeting at the Medowie Community Centre at 10.00 on the Wednesday and it is to be hoped that this year will be much better than 2020. Kevin Tomlinson told News Of The Area, members hope that the impending roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccine will offer great hope that the pandemic may be controlled.” As over 55’s the group are considered vulnerable to the virus and a vaccination program is high on their wish list for the New Year. “Our members are looking forward to the new Probus year and with proposed activities, guest speakers and planning for the Club Birthday in July (we hope),” he said. 2021 marks the 18th Anniversary for the Medowie Probus Club. The club has big plans for the anniversary with plans for the celebrations already underway however the club is mindful that in times of COVID-19. Members of the Club believe that current developments in Medowie augur well for the Club with developments like Tallowood over 55’s lifestyle village seeing first stage residents moving in. The club is hoping for an influx of new members in the next few years, along with the return of the members from the previous years.
