LINCOLN Elliott graduated as Dux from the Coffs Harbour Christian Community School at the end of 2012 and has gone on to follow his dreams in forging a career as a performer in Sydney and beyond.

Originally from Dubbo, Lincoln hadn’t experienced performing until he studied Drama at high school in Coffs Harbour, but it wasn’t until later that he decided to pursue a career as a performer.

During a gap year in 2013 he attended Bible college, went on a mission to Bali and performed in his first full stage musical at the Jetty Memorial Theatre in the role of Dickon in Coffs Harbour Musical Comedy Companies (CHMCC) production of The Secret Garden.

Going on to starring roles in subsequent CHMCC productions of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins, it was during this time that the idea of seriously moving into performing arts began to firm in his mind.

In 2017 he was accepted into the National Institute for Dramatic Arts (NIDA) Diploma of Musical Theatre program, graduating in 2018.

After a short quiet period he picked up his first role in a Sydney based production in June and was then on stage in six different shows in six months, often attending two to three rehearsals a day.

In 2018 he played the lead role of Private John Simpson in the world premiere of the locally written musical 3 Weeks in Spring with Endymion Productions at the State Theatre in Sydney.

Lincoln continues to work in professional musical theatre and drama and said he loves the art of storytelling.

“I love to tell stories and entertain people, and to make them laugh, and I always feel the responsibility to tell the story to the best of my ability.”

And what advice would he pass on to aspiring young performers?

“You have to decide if you want a job or a hobby, as a job it’s lots of hard but rewarding work, and you need to genuinely love it, you need to be absolutely sure that this is what you want to do and commit to it,” he said.
