Palm Lake Resort residents make donation to Westpac Helicopter Service Myall Coast Myall Coast News by News Of The Area - Modern Media - December 7, 2020 Graham Reynolds handing the cheque for $1032.00 to Graham Nickisson of Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service with Andy Docherty (PLR Bar Committee) watching on. ON Friday 4 December 2020 the Residents of Palm Lake Resort Tea Gardens (PLR) had the pleasure of presenting a cheque for $1,032 to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service during their weekly “Happy Hour” event. Unfortunately, this donation was delayed by several months due to restrictions of the Covid -19 pandemic. Graham Nickisson, the Community Liaison Officer for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, Newcastle Regional Office attended this event on behalf of the Rescue Helicopter Service to accept the cheque. Graham gave a very interesting talk on his past experiences over the last 38 years serving in the Westpac Helicopter Rescue Service and invited members of the audience to visit the Newcastle Regional Office where he would be happy to escort them around with commentary of the operation of the Office. The donation to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service is indicative of the ongoing commitment of Palm Lake Resort residents in supporting local community services and local Tea Gardens businesses as Prize vouchers are purchased from local businesses to be used at “Happy Hour raffles”.
