Coffs Harbour Swimming Club crowned champions of North Coast Championships

The Coffs Harbour Swimming Club team.

 

THE Swimming North Coast Championships were held this past weekend at Banora Point.

Swimmers from as far south as Forster and north to the Queensland border competed over the two-day event. Coffs Harbour had 46 local athletes competing with many wins and personal bests achieved.

Coco Becker, Luke Wilson and Isaac Ryan were awarded overall champions for their respective age groups while Coffs Harbour Swimming Club took home the coveted title of Swimming North Coast Champions, ahead of Trinity Lismore and Alstonville.

Coffs Harbour Swimming Club’s President, Daniel Bannerman said, “Coffs Harbour Swimming Club has gone from strength to strength during the past few years with local coaches working hard developing our local talent whilst providing a vibrant and supportive environment which allows athletes of all abilities to reach their potential.

“On behalf of Coffs Harbour Swimming Club I’d like to say a big thank you to Banora Point Swimming Club for hosting the recent Championships and congratulations to all the athletes, parents and coaches on their amazing efforts,” Bannerman said.
