Email us – media@newsofthearea.com.au BCS teacher Debbie Booth said her K-6 student’s transformation from school children into famous literary characters was a sight to behold. “With the theme “Curious Creatures, Wild Minds” much imagination was displayed by both parents and students alike,” she said. “Characters included James and the Giant Peach, the swagman from Waltzing Matilda, Alice in Wonderland, the Iron Man, Thing 1 and 2 and of course an old favourite Where’s Wally,” said Debbie. It wasn’t just the students getting in on the fun however, with event organizer Hayley Nicholson playing the part of the intrepid and fearsome Miss Trunchbowl for the day. “Thanks Mrs Nicholson for your organisation of the parade. “Even the teachers looked wonderful too, with characters including Sam I Am, Mary Poppins, the Wild Thing, the Very Hungry Caterpillar and of course an old favourite in The Magic Fish,” said Debbie. “Thank you to the parents who supported this event. It was such fun. We are only sorry that you couldn’t join us this year- but rock on 2021.” By Doug CONNOR Mindy Sullivan and Claire Tufrey.
