The Port Stephens Friendship Group has been introducing people to each other in the region for an epic 25 years.

Members got together on Thursday 29 October to enjoy a luncheon at the Saltwater Restaurant, Fingal Bay to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Port Stephens Friendship Group.

Roslyn Holman Secretary of the Friendship Group told News Of The Area, “This event was made even more special as our founder Bev Lee, and co-founder Noel Finch were both present.”

The two founders were presented each with a beautifully framed fitting memorabilia commemorating the longevity of their support.

“Historically the group has provided friendship and support for so many in the Port Stephens community over this quarter century, and the new committee is busy planning events and outings that will ensure a happy future lies ahead,” she said.

The group is especially beneficial for new arrivals in the Port Stephens community, as new friendships are formed for both men and women whilst enjoying local social events, lunches, beachside BBQs, picnics, movie days and bus trips.

The Port Stephens Friendship Group meets on the last Tuesday of the month at Nelson Bay Bowling Club commencing at 5.00 pm in the Nelson Room.
