“Well, what a year it’s been, with a global pandemic marking the end of our 13 years of schooling,” said departing student Tahlia Read.

“We would like to thank everybody for coming to support us and also to our parents who are supporting us as close as restrictions allow.

“It is now time for us to say goodbye,” she said.

Ms Read praised the school’s teachers and staff for their efforts in supporting students in 2020.

“We thank all of our teachers for putting up with our tears, tantrums and at times, lack of motivation.

“You got us through a challenging year and we are more grateful than we can ever put into words.

“Our teachers taught us so much more than what the syllabus asked and they have shaped us into the somewhat responsible, mildly tolerable, caring, capable people we are today.

“We are going to miss all the staff, the classrooms and the school that we are so familiar with.

“We thank you all for getting us to this day.

“We are now excited to see what the future holds,” she said.
