To celebrate the Combined Probus Club of Medowie arranged a Trivia Day to celebrate Probus 2020.

October 2020 had been declared Probus 2020 month by Probus South Pacific.

To change things up in a year that has offered multiple challenges the members enjoyed a Trivia competition replacing the traditional guest speaker at the monthly meeting.

Kevin Tomlinson the clubs Publicity Officer told News Of The Area, “President Neville had organized 30 Trivia Questions for members, and all present thought he could take over on Hot Seat as a great compere.

“The questions were varied and designed to tax the brains of the members,” he said.

The group ensured that the seating and venue was set up to fully comply with Covid-19 Protocols in the Medowie Community Centre Banksia Hall.

The event for Probus 2020 provided a fun time, maintaining the mantra of Probus in Fun, Fellowship and Friendship.
Groups of four per table vied for the top honour as Trivia Masters.

After the 30 questions were assessed by the two scrutineers, Daphne and Dawn, there were two tables equal.

A series of tie breakers were asked and after four tie breakers, one table was declared the Trivia Masters of Medowie Probus Club, those four being Kevin, Jennifer, Reg and Lyle, who were presented with their prizes of Gift Vouchers.

Members enjoyed the trivia event so much that they are already asking for more.

The laughter and banter as questions were asked proved to be very entertaining for all.

Medowie Probus Club meets on the third Wednesday each month at 10.00 am at the Medowie Community Centre, Ferodale Road Medowie.
