Monday 12 October 2020 was an excellent start to the season with enthusiastic attendees who enjoyed great weather and a comfortable water temperature.

Twenty-seven swimmers took to the Tea Gardens pool over two consecutive sessions to ensure compliance with COVID 19 safety regulations and MidCoast Council requirements.

A good time was had by all.

This year the club has a team of six experienced volunteer coaches to assist and encourage all members of various abilities in all strokes.

Monday afternoon is the pivotal skills training time with two sessions, commencing at 5.00pm and then 6.00pm respectively.

Swimmers focus on stroke correction and fine tuning their technique with individual coaching provided.

Wednesday morning (8.30am to 9.30am) is the sprint session, which caters for members seeking to improve their strength and times.

Friday afternoon (5.00pm to 6.00pm session) is an aerobic workout concentrating on improving distance.

As the season progresses, we look forward to catching up with more of our members.
