A NEW Hub Cafe Woolgoolga will open next month at the new Woolgoolga Surf Life Saving Club, with the Hub Cafe Sawtell recently announced as the successful leasee for the cafe.

A Hub Cafe is already in operation at First Avenue, Sawtell, and at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, which opened in March last year, with the Woolgoolga cafe being the third cafe for the local franchise.

Woolgoolga Surf Life Saving Club president Les Pepper said the new cafe is planned to open in the second week of November.

“We had a tender process with about eight people applying, and it was decided by the committee that they (the Hub Cafe) were the best ones to run it,” Les said.

The business will be run as a proper sit-down cafe, not a traditional beach kiosk with takeaway food only.

Mr Pepper said the cafe will have the capacity to seat around 60 people outdoors under the stage and awning area of the Surf Life Saving Club.
