President Jenny Wright was very active contacting everyone weekly to make sure all was well. Julia Redlich told News Of The Area, “Once isolation rules slackened a bit, wine and dine organisers John and Vicki Archer arranged a “meeting” to be held in individual homes, with contact via Zoom and inspired catering by Authentic Thai. “Members made menu choices and ordered in advance, with Authentic Thai delivering to each address at the appointed time on appointed date for a delightful distant set of gatherings. “We were almost back to normal!,” she said. The Fingal Bay Probus Club usually meets at the Fingal Bay Sports & Recreation Club, at 100 Rocky Point Road, Fingal Bay before the big shut-downs. Going forward the club and its members are looking to the time when their usual activities can resume such as barbecues, walking for pleasure, wine appreciation and learning from guest speakers. For most it can’t come soon enough. By Marian SAMPSON
