Tea Gardens Grange RSL LifeCare Trophy winners Sport by NOTA - November 25, 2014November 26, 2014 Tea Gardens Women’s Bowling Club news Claire Brown, Elke Jones, Wendy Jones and Julie Woolard from RSL LifeCare November 18. There were no special events planned for today. Members enjoyed social bowls and the winners were drawn from the cards. The fortunate team were; Sheril Johnson, Barbara Hilliard,(Tumbyumby BC), and Karen Green Apart from Barbara, members enjoyed the company of Elana Ashley from Earlwood BC. The Match Committee compiled the draw for The Grange RSL LifeCare Resort Trophy Day. November 20. This years’ annual Grange RSL LifeCare Resort Trophy Day was fully subscribed and was played under very hot conditions. The format was the seldom played, two-bowl triples, with two games of 12 ends. Opponents changing after the first game. The competition was fierce and, despite the heat enjoyed by all. The outright winners on the day were: Claire Brown, Elke Jones and Wendy Jones. Congratulations! Runners-up were; Bev Rhodes, Sandra Leisemann and Liz Kelly. Well done! Once again the Social Committee ladies provided a lovely sandwich lunch supplemented with slices from numerous donors. Many thanks to them all! Julie Woolard, Village Manager, RSL LifeCare, presented the trophies and enjoyed lunch with members. The Grange has been supporting Women’s Bowls for over 10 years and their continuing support is greatly appreciated.
