Probus Club of Hawks Nest take trip to Blue Mountains Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest by NOTA - November 19, 2014 Recently, a coach load of members from the Probus Club of Hawks Nest & District visited the picturesque Blue Mountains which was their annual trip for 2014. Day one, after lunch at Penrith Leagues Club, led us to our accommodation for five nights at the Redleaf Resort in Blackheath. For the next four days, our members were treated to taking in the fantastic views from various lookouts in the mountains, exploring Katoomba, including the Three Sisters, with the highlight enjoying a sumptuous High Tea at the refurbished Carrington Hotel. Mid week on a perfect sunny day, our group visited the Skyway, Cableway and Scenic Railway which was very popular as a “must see” for our members. Other historic towns visited included Hartley, Lithgow and Oberon. At the end of each day, members enjoyed the famous “Happy Hour” before dinner. I am sure everyone would agree that Managers, Dinesh and Kylie gave us a taste of their generous hospitality with every request being catered for our members.
