THE ORANGE apocalyptic-looking sky due to the bushfires blazing around the state did not deter Medowie’s carollers from attending the annual Christmas Carnival.

Brought to the community by the Raymond Terrace Rotary Club, the thousands of residents and performers in attendance enjoyed Santa’s arrival, Miss Kim, the local schools’ choral performances, Dance ‘n’ Dazzle dancers, a RAAF display,
market stalls and many performers by talented locals.

The children of Medowie had an especially good time and were happy to tell News Of The Area about their fun.

Three-year-old Frederick Montgomery age 3 said, “It was fun.”

Eleanor Green, who danced in the Medowie Public School K-2 dance group said, “I enjoyed the singing and dancing.”

Her friend, Amelia Rolfe said, “I enjoyed the rides and the fun time with friends.”
