The Honorary Fellowship Certificate recognizes club directors who have served on the Board of a club for ten years or more and John Adam worked diligently for the Board for over fifteen years.

Quite often people who have contributed to their community are not publicly acknowledged and this initiative aims to recognize the significant contributions that long-serving Directors have made to their club and the community as a whole.

When News of the Area contacted John’s wife, Pat about how she felt about her husband receiving the Certificate, she said, “ I thought it was great that John had been recognized for the length of time that he had been a Director of the Club.

Pat also said, “The presentation of the Certificate took place at Peter Sinclair Gardens and the staff were great as they invited some of the residents to attend the presentation.”

General Manager of Tea Gardens Country Club, Warren Gooley told News of the Area, “The Fellowship was launched in 2018 with 58 inaugural Directors acknowledged at the ClubsNSW Annual Conference and so far this year, they have inducted fifteen Directors who will be acknowledged at this year’s Conference.

“Inductees will receive a complimentary Associate Membership of the Club Directors Institute, a framed Certificate and a lapel pin, ongoing provision of the Club Director magazine and recognition for their years of service to the industry, their club and community at the ClubsNSW Annual Conference.”
