“This is an incredibly exciting milestone for our team and the broader community, our vision is to provide a high calibre coastal community that we hope enhances the quality of life for future and existing residents,” Managing Director of Sheargold Michael Sheargold said.

The project name is inspired by Sir William Edward Parry and his wife Lady Isabella Louisa Parry who were outstanding pioneers of the area and contributed greatly to the community.

Features of the application include multi-million-dollar purpose built residential facilities: The Residents Hub- a central community meeting space includes a commercial grade kitchen, BBQ’s, Bocce court, community veggie patch, movie screen, outdoor fireplace, expansive decks and covered lookouts over the central lake.

A Wellness Centre- including state of the art gym, 5 lane 25m indoor heated pool with disabled access, multipurpose room for guided exercise classes such as Yoga and Pilates and an outdoor deck area to unwind post workout.

Sheargold Marketing Manager Shaun McCausland said, “We anticipate works to commence on site in 2020.”

In addition to the resident’s facilities multiple parks and laneways will create a connected and walkable streetscape to encourage residents and the broader community alike to retreat and enjoy the beautiful natural setting with approximately 100 ha of bushland set aside and protected into perpetuity to conserve local biodiversity. The landscape masterplan has a goal of producing a sensitive design that provides an abundance of habitat for the array of local fauna.

Michael Sheargold told News Of The Area, “I appreciate everyone’s attendance this evening and I look forward to continuing to grow the Parry’s Cove Tea Gardens master planned community project into one of which to be proud.”

Sheargold will soon be hosting an information briefing session on Monday 18 November to update the community about the development application for the project.

  1. Community transport needs should be considered. Tea Gardens and local residents often have concerns when needing to attend out of area medical appointments. Not all people can drive themselves and often the long journey can be difficult. Tea Gardens is expanding but the local community needs are not.
    Many thanks.
